Q. How long have you been in business?
A. Special Project Partners began operating in January 2007.

Q. What is the core business at Special Project Partners?
A. Business and communications writing is our core business. In order to facilitate the
process we consult with our clients, plan the project, conduct research, and prepare the
requested document. In most cases the process is just as important as the document
created. Recently we were asked to conduct a series of focus groups in a neighborhood
severely affected by high infant mortality. Doing this work required contacting community
groups, scheduling meetings, facilitating group discussions, documenting those
discussions, and presenting the findings to various stakeholder groups. The final report
provided the client with a record of the participant’s conclusions, which were used to
inform the work being done to combat infant mortality.

Q. How much do you charge for your services?
A. Each project is a bit different. The intricacy of the work and the client’s expected due
date play a major role in the cost. After a free consultation we will provide you with an
estimate for our services. Send us an email with a general description of your project
and we will provide you with an estimated price range.

Q. Do you have writing samples?
A. We are happy to provide you with samples. Simply send your request via email.

Q. Can you provide us with a copy of your resume?
A. Send me an email with your request and an electronic copy will be sent to you.  In the
meantime, please take a look at my
bio. Also, take a look at our client list for added
perspective.

Q. Why should I hire you? I’m a very good planner, writer, and researcher myself?
A. Even when you're the best at what you do, hiring someone with a fresh perspective
can be very beneficial. At other times you or your staff may need to remain neutral, as is
the case when reviewing internal processes. Still, in other cases you or your staff may
simply have more tasks than time and we are a convenient way to ease the work load.

Q. Explain your work matrix. It seems to cover more than writing services.
A.  The matrix offers a process for taking a concept and turning it into a reference
document,  an implementable plan, or a set of objectives. For example, your cool idea for
a new teaching method may evolve into a business plan for a tutoring company while a
notion to save the planet may grow into a white paper on energy efficiency in the home.
Our process always begins with a  conversation about your ideas. We firmly believe that
if your ideas, process, and/or outcomes are not documented in writing, then the work
that took place might as well not exist. In other words,
if it's not written, it's not real!
